Specializing in Avionics Engineering President Larry Allgood founded Avionyx, Inc. in 1989. Avionyx provided on-site avionics software and hardware engineering services until 1998, when it opened its engineering facility to expand its capability by providing full lifecycle engineering outsourcing. In 2004, Avionyx expanded its Florida-based operations by adding ani off-shore engineering facility in San Jose, Costa Rica to provide a more cost competitive solution for its customers. In 2005, Avionyx began providing customer training for DO-178B software development and verification and DO-254 training in 2006, which is also currently provided to RTCA. Since 1989, Avionyx has completed over 100 Level A-D projects for virtually every airborne system, including navigation, weather/traffic/terrain surveillance, communication, flight control, cockpit displays, engine and system monitoring, autopilots, Instrument/microwave landing systems, audio panels, boot loaders, data concentrators and verification of math, graphics libraries and RTOS’s.
