Avionyx is an embedded software engineering services company with over 20 years of experience in developing and testing complex embedded systems. Our quality processes are fully compliant with ISO-9001:2008, AS9100 rev C, AS9006, RTCA/DO-178B and RTCA/DO-254.

With offices in Melbourne, Florida, and San José, Costa Rica, Avionyx provides on-site software and hardware engineering services, near-shore software engineering outsourcing and training in DO-178B and DO-254.

Avionyx has developed first-class training programs, mature engineering processes and state-of-the-art software engineering automation tools.  All of these elements combined with our low-cost, near-shore structure in Costa Rica allow us to compete with any off-shore provider without sacrificing quality or adding  the risk and logistical problems of traveling to, shipping to and communicating with providers located in the eastern hemisphere.

People and Training

Our recruiting process is mature and utilizes our staff engineers to assist with technical interviews, allowing us to recruit the best and brightest software engineers. But it doesn’t stop there. Training is part of the culture at Avionyx.

We provide a 2-week boot camp for all new hires to orient them with our software engineering procedures and tools. We also provide ongoing training in a variety of technical topics. Although all of our engineers are fluent in English upon hiring, all communication in the office is also in English, both written and verbal, and we offer English classes weekly with native English-speaking instructors. Our internal training is also used by our customers and RTCA, the developer of the aerospace industry’s quality assurance and other software and system standards.
