Avionyx, a company specializing in developing and verifying software for aeronautical systems, announced that it plans to grow in Costa Rica by updating and expanding its facilities, and creating more than 50 new vacancies related to the engineering field and administrative positions during the next two years. This growth takes place after Avionyx was acquired by Joby Aviation, Inc., a U.S. based company that is developing an all-electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft which intends to operate as part of a fast, quiet, and convenient service in cities around the world. With more than ten years of development and over 1,000 test flights completed, Joby’s piloted five-seat aircraft has demonstrated top speeds over 200 mph and more than 150 mph range on a single charge. “For more than 15 years, we’ve enlisted local Costa Rican talent to deliver world-class engineering software services to well-known customers across the globe.
