About the Job 

 

Avionyx is searching for a part -time IT Assistant to provide support in maintaining a continuous operation of the business in IT topics by helping users with basic IT needs such as, installing software, preparing computers for first use, running diagnostics among other related tasks. The IT Assistant is expected to assist in solving critical issues of the IT environment but not lead the problem-solving process, unless authorized to do so if proficiency on the relevant areas is demonstrated.

What You Will Get to Do

• Help users with basic IT problems related to computers.

• Prepare and configure computers to meet business needs.

• Perform diagnostics on computers and detect problems.

• Replace defective computer hardware parts and UPS batteries.

• Monitor operating systems updates and maintain all computer’s up to date.

• Monitor and maintain all antivirus software up to date.

• Assist in maintaining off-premises company assets documentation.

• Control software licenses.

• Assist in solving any other IT related concerns of all employees in the company.

What You Will Bring to the Table

• ​High School Bachelor’s degree

• Studies in computer maintenance software and computer hardware basics.

• Studying for a technical degree in computer repair or networking (Desirable).

• Computer hardware assembly.

• Windows 10 and 11 operating system configuration.

• Computer diagnostic software knowledge.

• Knowledge of Windows 2016 or higher server administration. (Desirable)

• Knowledge in configuring network devices such as firewalls, routers and switches. (Desirable)

• Knowledge in setup of WAN and LAN networks. (Desirable)

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English (B1 level)

• Team player.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Service orientation, problem solving and attention to detail.
